Our Guidebooks lead to REAL Walking Country |

Hillside is one of the major publishers of outdoor titles in Britain. Established in 1983, we have now published more than 50 guidebooks to most of the popular walking areas of Northern England. The majority of our books are the work of author and photographer Paul Hannon, though we have also published several other Northern authors. Our walking guides fairly comprehensively cover 4 of the 5 National Parks in the North, along with Lancashire and other areas of the Pennines. In 1992 we were the first publisher to provide an up to date guidebook to the hugely popular Coast to Coast Walk devised by A. Wainwright some twenty years previously. We also produce a range of biking guides and an increasing number of general guidebooks. |
